Govt. of Assam is soon going to start the ongoing recruitment process for
filling up 597 Sub Inspector (SI) and 6662 Constables (UB and AB)
vacancy. The recruitment process was come to a halt due to a number of scandals
including leaking of question papers.
After observing such anomalies, earlier Government of Assam has decided to
conduct all recruitment examinations for various departments through
different universities of Assam. Accordingly, Dibrugarh University conducted
SI recruitment exam; written test result of the same was declared on
December 12th last year.
Today, Assam Police has shared a post regarding SI (UB) and Constables (UB
and AB) recruitment on Facebook through its official social media handle. As
per the said post,
state government has given the go ahead for PST/PET for Sub Inspector
(UB) & Constable Recruitment.
PST/ PET for SI(UB) is likely to be held in early February & same for
the Constables is supposed to be held in Mid-February.
