Eligibility Criteria of Gauhati Commerce College Recruitment

Educational Qualification (As per Govt. OM No. AHE.407/2017/54 dated 25/11/2020):

Must secure at least 55% marks at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject and must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC / CSIR.
Candidates who were awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (minimum standards and procedures for award of Ph.D. degree ) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility conditions of NET /SET/ SLET. The candidates must have good academic record with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalent grade in point scale) at the Master’s degree level in the concerned subject. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to SC/ ST/PWD candidates. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to PhD holders who have obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991.
Candidates must have PRC certificate and proficiency in Local Language
For the post of Assistant Professor in Mathematics, applicants must have Statistics as a subject in Degree level.

➢ The candidates have to acquire qualifications as on the last date for submitting applications. Eligibility like MPhil / PhD/ Seminar Papers / Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of interview and not beyond.

As per Govt. of Assam Rule .

Pay Scale:

Salary will be as according to UGC scale of pay and other allowances as per rule
